
Timberline is a very easy destination. New Melones Resevoir, Bear Valley Ski Area, Lake Alpine and Spicer Resevoir are each an easy 25+/- mile drive along Highway 4, also known as The Scenic Ebbetts Pass Highway. You’re sure to enjoy a spectacular and easy drive along this corridor. Tahoe and Yosemite are also our neighbors, within 2 hours of Timberline. Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Blue Lake Springs, and White Pines Lake are among some of the popular, familiar areas within a mile or so of Arnold Timberline Lodge.
Take I-580 East. Keep left onto I-205 East. Take ramp I-5 North.
Take Ramp Right onto SR-120 East toward Manteca/Sonora. Take Ramp Left onto I-99 toward Sacramento/Stockton. Take Ramp Right to SR-4, (Farmington Rd). Continue along SR-4 crossing SR-49 at traffic light in Angels Camp. Continue along SR-4 approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline Lodge is two miles into Arnold on left side of SR-4. (approximately 2 hours from I-580 at Hacienda in Pleasanton)
Take I-99 South. Turn left onto SR-4 East (Farmington Road) continuing along SR-4. Cross SR-49 in Angels Camp (go through the traffic light), continuing along SR-4 East approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline is two miles into Arnold on the left side of SR-4. (approximately 2 hours from I-99 at Reno/San Francisco Interchange)

Take I-99 South. Turn Left onto Liberty Road just after Galt. Turn right on I-88. Turn left onto SR-12 at traffic light. SR-12 becomes SR-49 into San Andreas. Continue along SR-49 to Angels Camp. Turn left onto SR-4 at first traffic light in Angels Camp. Continue along SR-4 approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline Lodge is two miles into town on left side of SR-4.

From US-50 Turn onto SR-16. Turn Right onto SR-49 through to Jackson and San Andreas. Continue along SR-49 to Angels Camp. Turn left onto SR-4 at first traffic light in Angels Camp. Continue along SR-4 approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline Lodge is two miles into town on left side of SR-4.
Take I-99 North. Turn right onto SR-4 East (Farmington Road). continuing along SR-4. Cross SR-49 in Angels Camp (go through the traffic light), continuing along SR-4 East approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline is two miles into Arnold on the left side of SR-4 (approximately 1.5 hours from I-99 at Pelandale in Modesto)
During Summer Months from RENO, travel I-395 South. Turn West (right) onto SR-88. Turn left onto SR-89 at Woodsford. Continue on SR-89 through Markleeville. Stay right onto SR-4 over Ebbetts Pass to Arnold.
From MEYERS in South Lake Tahoe, travel SR-89 South, turn left onto SR-88. Turn right onto SR-89 at Woodsford. Continue on SR-89 through Markleeville. Stay right onto SR-4 over Ebbetts Pass to Arnold.
During Winter Months SR-4 is closed over Ebbetts Pass. Alternate routes are:
I-80 West to I-99 South, then follow directions from Sacramento.
OR CA-50 West. Turn left onto Latrobe Rd at El Dorado. Turn Left onto SR-16, then right onto SR-49 through Drytown to Jackson. (Follow below from Jackson)

SR-88 West to SR-49 at Jackson. At Jackson, Turn South (left) onto SR-49. Continue on SR-49 through San Andreas. Continue along SR-49 to Angels Camp. Turn left onto SR-4 at first traffic light in Angels Camp. Continue along SR-4 approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline Lodge is two miles into town on left side of SR-4.
Take 88 West to Jackson, 49 South through San Andreas to Angels Camp. Turn East (left) onto Highway 4 at the traffic light in Angels Camp. Continue on Highway 4 approximately 30 minutes to Arnold. Timberline is two miles into town on the left side of Highway 4.
